07 Jul TWI President Receives ASNT 2022 Sustained Excellence Award
TWI President Dr. Steven Shepard received the Research Recognition for Sustained Excellence Award at the ASNT Research Conference, held in St. Louis, June 20-23. The award recognizes “outstanding sustained contributions in NDT/E research by a single individual.” The award was presented after Dr. Shepard’s plenary talk, which provided a personal, and often humorous, overview of the evolution of modern thermography, emphasizing significant advances and unexpected developments, tempered by instances where “mistakes were made.” Asked about the award, Shepard commented “It’s truly humbling to receive this recognition from ASNT, but I must share any credit with my colleagues at Thermal Wave Imaging, who not only played key roles in performing the research but have also been responsible for turning the results of our research into real world products and solutions.”
